Obituary of Michael Wayne Hardeman

Michael Wayne "Tiny" Hardeman, 58 of West Columbia, was taken from this world on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, after an unexpected illness. Mr. Hardeman was born on August 7, 1957, in West Columbia. He was the son of the late Carl E. and Lila Kelly Hardeman. Tiny worked at South Carolina Department of Transportation for 37 years and dedicated himself to his job, rising to the rank of Trades Supervisor IV within the agency. Michael was a man with a unique soul, caring personality and a huge heart. He was always one to give help when needed and proved this many times over. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by those he touched. Michael is survived by many loving cousins, very dear friends and also by his extended "S.C.D.O.T. family". Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015, at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, officiated by Bishop Rocco Del Priore of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, West Columbia First Ward.
