Obituary of Uva Asbill Dailey

Uva Asbill Dailey went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, April 28, 2024. 

Visitation and Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 1st at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. Visitation is from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, the Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, followed by burial at Hilltop Community Church in Gilbert, SC.

Uva loved the Lord and was “ready to go” when God called her home. Her life was a sweet testimony and example to all who knew her of what it means to be a loving mother and a child of God. She was the youngest daughter of the late Pace Asbill and Minnie Victoria Holley Asbill. She always wanted others to know that “she loved the Lord and she loved her family.”

Survivors include her son Kevin E. (Karen) Dailey; daughter Jan Hollene Dailey (Ronald) Smith; son Marlin L. (Fran) Dailey; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson E. Dailey of 54 years, two brothers, and six sisters.  She will be forever loved and missed by her family and so many friends! The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rapha Residential Care and to Three Oaks Hospice of Columbia.
