I worked with Alyne at the USC School of Law for many years, and I've missed her ever since she retired. She genuinely cared about all of us, and her smile was often the highlight of my day. We would trade stories about our dogs and laugh and laugh. We also talked about our families, and it was clear she loved you all so much. I'm so very sorry for your loss. Alyne had a very generous heart.

Alyne was one of the very first people I met when I came to the law school and was so helpful. She was such a great help and resource all the time. I will definitely miss going to lunch with her and her texts. I’m glad she had a great year of retirement. She took great care of me and I did the same for her as much as she would let me. She took care of my daughter as her own and vis versa.
Definitely will miss her.

When I started my very first work of week at USC School of Law, Alyne was one of the first persons I met. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed and always took such good care of me. From that very first week we became more than co-workers, even though she worked in a completely different area/part of the law school. We always stayed in touch and shared many photos of our beloved dogs.
We stayed in contact after I retired and moved to Beaufort, SC. I was so thrilled when she told me she was able to retire. I was fortunate to pay her a visit once she had retired and spend time with Alyne and her beloved Lucy.
She made such a difference in so many peoples' lives. I will miss her so much.

Alyne was the first person I met when I applied to work at the law school 13 years ago and quickly became one of my closest friends. She was not only generous to a fault to her coworkers and friends, she had a great sense of humor and was one of the most thoughtful friends I've ever had. I'm so grateful she got to enjoy a year of retirement, although that was cut way too short. She certainly earned that period of rest and relaxation. I already miss our daily texts, emails and our by-weekly lunch dates. She was such a special lady and I'm going to miss her sweet smile forever.
