Obituary of Donnie M. Stillinger

Visitation for Donnie Stillinger will be held Wednesday, January 10th from 5pm-7:30pm at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington, SC. A graveside service will be on Thursday, January 11th at 2pm in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens in Columbia, SC.

Donnie M. Stillinger, 91, of West Columbia, SC entered the gates of Heaven on January 7, 2024. He was born on October 1, 1932 in West Columbia to the late Wesley W. and Cora Meetze Stillinger. He served in the US Navy from 1951 - 1955 during the Korean Conflict and retired from SC Department of Juvenile Justice after 30 years of service. Donnie always had a joyful spirit and loving heart for all. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, smoking a good cigar, and watching football.

Survivors include three children, Dean Stillinger, Pamela “Kitty” Maner, and Brian (Tiffany) Stillinger; 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and brother, Charles (Dot) Stillinger. He was preceaded in death by both his parents; brothers, W.D. Stillinger, Edward Stillinger, and Wesley Stillinger; and sisters, Maggie Lee Dreher, Evelyn Shull, Thelma Hoffman, Eloise Hall, Ruth McGee, and Sara Cooley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
