Mrs. Geddings of Columbia (recently of Generations of Batesburg) died on May 24, 2018. Born in Columbia on January 23, 1948, she was a daughter of the late James Walker and Louise Vincent Hallman. She was a graduate of Eau Claire High School Class of 1966 and Palmer Business College. She was the wife of the late Daniel Lewis Geddings, who died suddenly in 2006 after 17 years of marriage. She had been employed at American Red Cross where she met her beloved husband and more recently was the primary care giver for her mother who died on November 30, 2017.

She was a member of Centennial Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church since childhood. Evelyn’s love of people was evident as she made friends easily. She received the Curved Bar, the highest award in girl scouting at the time. In high school she enjoyed performing in plays as part of the Thespians.

Surviving Mrs. Geddings are her sister and brother- in- law Allene and Bill DuBose of Leesville, nephew Mark DuBose of Monetta, niece Laura DuBose Goodson(Brent) of Pelzer, and precious great nieces and nephew Caroline and Laci DuBose of Monetta and Bryce and Garrett Goodson of Pelzer.

She is also survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tommy and Janie Geddings of Columbia.

She leaves behind many cousins and friends whom she dearly loved.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Janice Hossler of Batesburg - Leesville Family Medicine, All Seasons Hospice and the wonderful staff of Generations of Batesburg for their compassionate care of our loved one.
