Obituary of William Douglas Mathis

 

William Douglas Mathis, 59, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away May 16, 2018 at   West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on October 2, 1958 in Columbia, South Carolina to Betty (Jones) Mathis and the late Bobby Francis Mathis.  Doug was an amazing hard worker.  He owned and operated Mathis Garage for almost 20 years.  He was generous to a fault and would help those around them whenever they asked.  Doug was an avid radio control pilot.  He was masterful in the construction and designing of his aircraft.  He will be missed by those he loved and those that loved him.

 

Doug is survived by a sister, Cynthia Mathis Day of Fort Mill, SC.
