When Lucille moved back to Excelsior Springs, Missouri, several years ago, I was the office manager of the Independent Living Facility where Lucille lived. I will never forget the first time I met her. She comes off the moving truck and falls. I ask if she was ok and her response, "oh darling, I know how to fall", in her very theatrical southern draw with hand raised over her forehead. She talked a lot about books she had read and lent me the book "Water for Elephants". One of my most favorite books ever. She was a dear friend of mine and I will never forget her. I am so glad she ended her life surrounded by people that loved her. Thank you for taking such great care of her.
