Obituary of Pauline K. Roberts

Pauline K. Roberts – CAYCE – Funeral services for Pauline Kinard Roberts, 86, of Cayce, will be held at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at State Street Baptist Church, 1420 State Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Pastor Chet Andrews and Dr. Nathan Brown will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Southland Memorial Gardens in West Columbia. The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington, 4720 Augusta Road, Lexington.

Mrs. Roberts passed away May 6, 2018. Born in Earhardt, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Alfred Kinard and Callie Elizabeth Bishop Kinard. Pauline was a member of State Street Baptist Church, and a member of the Bethany-Joy Sunday School Class. She was a charter member of the Cayce 260 Order of the Eastern Star, charter and life member of Daughters of the Nile, Member of the American Legion Auxiliary 130, and a charter and life member of the National Association of Women in Construction. Pauline was the Co-Owner of Roberts Electric Co., Inc. for over 40 years.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Barbara A. Roberts of Cayce, and Jeanie Roberts Baxley (Thomas) of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughters, Shauna M. Brown and Jana B. Medlin (Drew) of Lexington, Callie E. Baxley of Mt. Pleasant; grandson, WEB Baxley of Mt. Pleasant; great-granddaughters, Chloe E. and Emily R. Medlin of Lexington; son-in-law, Michael N. Younginer of West Columbia; sister-in-law, Sadie Kinard of Fairfax and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her daughter, Paula R. Younginer, brothers, Edwin A. Kinard, Jr., Jimmie M. Kinard; sister-in-law, Doris G. Kinard.
