Obituary of Norma Louise Overstreet

Funeral services for Norma “Bonnie” Louise Overstreet, 64, of Hopkins, will take place on Sunday, May 6 at 2:00 PM at Thompson's Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park with burial to immediately follow. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 5 from 6:00 PM- 8:30 PM at Thompson's Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Overstreet died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Palmetto Health Baptist Hospital. She was born on May 8, 1953 in Columbia, South Carolina to Dr. Norman Seay and Mazzie Louise Ellisor Geiger. She graduated from Lower Richland High School in 1971. Mrs. Overstreet was a former member of the Eastern Star Chapters #98 and #295, and a former member of the VFW Post #641 Ladies Auxiliary. She was married to Russell Perry Overstreet, III on July 22, 2006. Mrs. Overstreet was an employee of First Citizens Bank for 37 years. Her greatest joys were spending time with friends & family, and visiting Edisto Beach.

Surviving are her husband, Russell Perry Overstreet, III; her son, Steven Bufford House; her sister, Linda Nicholson Howington; her uncle, Billy Eroy Ellisor of Hollywood, Florida; nieces, Christy Lynn (Howington) Cochran & Lenna Mae (Howington) Briggs; three grand-nieces and three grand-nephews. Mrs. Overstreet was preceded in death by her father, Dr. Norman Seay Geiger; her mother, Mazzie Louise Nicholson; her step-father, Enoch James (Jim) Nicholson; her mother-in-law, Betty Jean Seawell Overstreet; and her father-in-law, Russell Perry Overstrett, Jr.
