Obituary of Michael Veno Leverett

Michael Veno Leverett, 75, of West Columbia, South Carolina passed away April 7, 2018 in Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on June 15, 1942 in Greenville, South Carolina to John and Eloise (Veno) Leverett.

Michael retired from the City of Columbia Land Surveying Department where he had worked for over 30 years.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran.  Michael loved to be on the water, whether fishing or boating, or just hanging out with his children or grandchildren.  He loved to play golf and listen to music.  Michael was an avid story teller.  His stories are loved remembered, re-told fondly by everyone in the family.

Michael is survived by his wife of 46 years, Elaine, Daughters; Susanne (Tina) Ridgeway, Angela Huffstetler (David), sons; Gary (Faith) Williams, Kevin Leverett (Robyn), sister, Gail Stelling, 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Thompson Funeral Home in Lexington on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Thompson Funeral Home.
