Obituary of Lagrand Enlow

WEST COLUMBIA ? Lagrand L. Enlow, 80, passed away on 7th February 2010 surrounded by loved ones in his home in Columbia, SC. Visitation will be on, Tuesday, 9th February 2010 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, 10th February 2010 at the Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street, West Columbia, SC. He will be laid to rest at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC. Known as ?Pop? to his children and ?Peepaw? to his grandchildren, he was a good warm-hearted man, who brought a smile to the face of everyone he met. For many years before his sickness, Pop was also well-known in the Columbia community as the ?Produce Man? who regularly came by houses with his black truck filled with fresh produce and snacks, especially in the Waverly and Five-Points Areas. He was a wonderful person who was loved immensely and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Mary Enlow, of Columbia; his daughter, Maryam Abdullah and her husband Wesam Reqaqi of Dubai, United Arab Emirates; his sons Millard and his wife Rory Lampley of Needmore, PA; and Roger and his wife Barbara of Houston, TX; his sister, Brystice and her husband Everett Wright of Brush Creek, TN; his nephew, John ?Hot Shot? Newman Jr. and his wife Sherry of Lexington, SC; his niece, Dale Newman of Augusta, GA; as well as fifteen grandchildren ? ?Moody?, Sara, ?Doodie?, ?Scooter?, Alya, Michael, Monica, ?Lisa?, Spencer, Stone, Saylor, Roger Jr., Michael Paul, Samantha and Joey.
