Obituary of Kathryn Ward

WEST COLUMBIA - A graveside service for Kathryn H. Ward, 93, of West Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2010 in Southland Memorial Gardens. Officiating will be Chaplain Yu-Fong Chong. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. """Red""" Ward, passed away on Friday, October, 15, 2010. Born in Hildebrand, NC, on April 17, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Preston S. Hildebrand and Ida Wycoff Hildebrand. She was a longtime area resident and a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia. Retiring after 38 years of service with National Linen Supply, Mrs. Ward was employed by Deloach""'s Florist in Columbia.Surviving is a number of nieces and nephews.
