Obituary of William Bill Winn

William G. "Bill" Winn, Jr. WEST COLUMBIA—William G. "Bill" Winn, Jr., 59, of West Columbia, passed away on April 2, 2011. Born in Abbeville, SC on May 16, 1951, he was the son of the late William Gist Winn, Sr. and Margaret Maultsby Winn. He was a graduate of Dreher High School and Newberry College. Bill was involved with His House Ministries in recent years. He was an avid airplane enthusiast, he supported Angels Flight and enjoyed playing tennis. He is survived by his sisters, Peg Blanton and Kathy Hartley, a niece and her husband, Lindsay and Joey McCutcheon and a great-nephew, Carson McCutcheon. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 520 Gervais St., Ste. 300, Columbia, SC 29201 or the SC Chapter of ALS, 1064 Gardner Road - Suite 101 - Charleston, SC 29407 in memory of his brother-in-law, Larry Hartley.
