Obituary of Rocky Soles

Rocky Soles GASTON—Funeral services for Rocky Soles, 52, of Gaston, will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Branch. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Soles, beloved husband of "Sue" Connie Dudley Soles, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was the son of Eunice Soles and the late Clifford Soles. He was a lifelong area resident and was very caring and devoted to helping others. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and had a very tender heart when it came to animals. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, "Denise" April Denise Guase (Buster Marsh) of Gaston and Gwen Gower (Bill) of LaFollette, TN, one grandson, "Alex" Preston Alexander Gause and two sisters, Patsy Huggins of Gaston and Peggy Hawkins of Irmo.
