Obituary of Bobby B V Sharpe

Bobby Vernon "B.V." Sharpe, Sr. CAYCE—Funeral services for Bobby Vernon "B.V." Sharpe, Sr., 82, of Cayce, will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Broadacres Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. William R. Geddings, Jr. and Rev. Larry Jones. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadacres Baptist Church Building Fund, 2350 Taylor Road, Cayce, SC 29033. Mr. Sharpe passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Clarence Sharpe and Hazel Mahan Sharpe. He enjoyed his work as a partner of Bailey and Sharpe Builders for more than 50 years. He was a lifetime member and served as a Deacon at Broadacres Baptist Church. He was a good father and friend to everyone that knew him. The most important thing to our father was to not only share his faith but lived his life by example to help lead others to Christ. Surviving are his daughter, Debbie Peagler (Danny) of Chapin and Lisa Green (Lee) of Raleigh, NC; son, Rick Sharpe (Susan) of Cayce; three grandchildren, Daniel Peagler (Daniela), Kyle Swindler and Savannah Swindler; one great-grandchild, Addison Peagler; sisters, Betty Pound of Gaston and Sarah Mochelle of Cayce; brothers, Gene Sharpe and Leon Sharpe both of Swansea. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Ruth H. Sharpe and son, Bobby Vernon Sharpe, Jr. The family adds a special Thank You to Carole and Samantha Lynch for being "caring angels."
