Obituary of Wynola Shuler

Wynola Wylie Shuler CAYCE—Funeral services for Wynola Wylie Shuler, 88, of Cayce, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Alexander H. Twedt. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 1301 Twelfth Street, Cayce, SC 29033. Mrs. Shuler, widow of Stacy Owen Shuler, Sr., passed away on June 13, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Heyward Wylie and Bertie Shealy Wylie. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church. She served on several of the church committees in the past. She was a homemaker and worked as a bookkeeper for Service Plumbing Company, a family owned business. Surviving are daughters, Kathy Shuler Cousson (Ken) of West Columbia and Pat Shuler of Cayce; son, Stacy Shuler, Jr. (Linda) of West Columbia; grandsons, Matt Shuler and Connor Shuler of West Columbia. She was predeceased by sisters, Bessie Wylie, Willie Mae Griffin, Frances Shuler, Betty Fogle; and brothers, Joe Wylie, Clarence Wylie, Henry Wylie and Charles Wylie. The family would like to thank the nurses, CNAs, and staff of National Healthcare of Lexington for their loving care of Winnie during her stay.
