Obituary of Sarah Areheart Turner

Sarah E. Areheart Turner LEXINGTON: Mrs. Turner, 84, passed away Monday, August 1, 2011. Born in West Columbia, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lila Estelle Crout Areheart. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Hampton "Talbert" Turner and one sister-in-law, Peggy A. Turner. Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by sisters, Claudia M. Ganey (Rufus), Pauline Richter (Walter) and Thelma Kircher (Jim); brothers, James (O'Neill), Vernon (Eva Mae), William (Donna), Earl (Brilla), Curtis (Geraldine) and Roy (Sandra) Areheart. Mrs. Turner lived in Roswell, NM for 32 years, where she and her husband owned and operated several NAPA stores. She served as secretary and treasurer of Standard Parts Company of Roswell, New Mexico. She was also a Lady of a Scottish Rite Noble. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2011, at 11 a.m. at St. David Lutheran Church. Entombment will follow in the church cemetery. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews who loved her. The family would like to thank the Lexington Medical Center Staff for their excellent care during her illness.
