Obituary of Dawne Kimmel

Dawne E. Kimmel WEST COLUMBIA— A funeral service for Dawne E. Kimmel, 84, of West Columbia, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Lynch. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Kimmel passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2011. Born in St. John's, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Charles Andrews and Winnie Buchner Andrews. She was a member of The Midland Deaf Church. She retired from Oakdale Regional Center after many years of devoted service as a nurse. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marlene and Ronnie Smith of Leesville; three grandchildren, Kristofor Hart and Klinton Hart both of South Congaree and Nicole Smith of Leesville; five great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Payton & Nathan, Sabrina & Kristy.
