Obituary of Sybil Herring

Sybil T. Herring COLUMBIA-Funeral services for Sybil T. Herring, 70, of Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011, at City of Hope Worship Center. Officiating will be Bishop Neal Nolan. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Harvest Hope Food Bank, P.O. Box 451, Columbia, SC 29202. Ms. Herring died Tuesday, November 22, 2011. Born in Camden, SC, she was the daughter of the late Curtis A. and Lucille Munn Twitty. She was a lifetime area resident and a member of City of Hope Worship Center. She was a loving mother and grandmother with a big heart. She loved her family and will be dearly missed. Surviving are her daughters, Sandy Walters (Jimmy) of Gaston, and Cindy Lee (Bob) of Pittsburgh, PA; son, Bobby Herring, Jr. (Aleena Blum) of South Congaree; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Grace Munn of South Congaree; and former husband, Bobby Herring, Sr. of Camden.
