Obituary of J W Norris

J.W. Norris WEST COLUMBIA - A private service for J.W. Norris, 70, will be held. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society at 121 Humane Lane Columbia, SC 29209. J.W. passed away on December 7, 2011. He was born on September 17, 1941 in Horry County, SC to the late Vance and Minnie Norris. He was the beloved husband of Anne Reynolds Norris. Mr. Norris was a member of Congaree Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher for the Luke Class. He was also a respected Doorkeeper and part of the Greeting Committee. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was devoted to his grandchildren and was overjoyed to be their caregiver. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his gardening. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters; Jennifer Barrier (Jack) and Lisa Roland (Chris) of Pineridge, SC; and two grandchildren; Amberlyn Roland and Colton Barrier who lovingly knew him as Papa.
