Obituary of Amalee Roof

Amalee Ricard Roof WEST COLUMBIA: Service for Amalee Ricard Roof, 93, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, officiated by Rev. Russell D. Peek and Rev. Elford A. Roof. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 2491 Emanuel Church Rd., West Columbia, SC 29170. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family. Mrs. Roof went to be with her Lord, Monday, December 12, 2011. Born in West Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Sidney C. Ricard and Agnes Backman Ricard. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was retired from George I. Pair Lexington District II, after 40 plus years of service. Mrs. Roof worked in the Emmanuel Lutheran Church Nursery, was an excellent cook and was very dedicated to her family. Survivors are her loving husband of 70 years, Francis B. Roof; sons, Frankie Roof, Stanley Roof (Joyce) and Ricky Roof (Cathy) all of West Columbia; four grandchildren, Angela R. Kodek, Stanley L. Roof, Jr. (Libby), Ricky N.
