Obituary of Mary Chaney

WEST COLUMBIA - Mary Louise Chaney Lee, wife of the late Charles R. Lee, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Born in Cayce, SC, May 12, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Dan and Leila Chaney. She was a retired bookkeeper for NAPA Auto Parts; and was a lifetime member of Grace Chapel Church in Dixiana.Surviving are her daughters: Karen E. (Beth) Lee of Cayce, Lisa Lee Mills of Columbia; sons, Michael R. Lee (Cissy) of West Columbia, and Brian E. Lee (Kathie) of West Columbia; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four loving sisters; two sisters-in-law; and three brothers-in-law and their families. Mrs. Lee was preceded by her eldest sister, Lessie Chaney Hallman, and brother, William Tillman Chaney. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Grace Chapel Church, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC, with burial in Mount Tabor Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, September 24, 2010, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, 200 State Street.
