Obituary of Leon Coker

Leon Coker, Sr. WEST COLUMBIA:Graveside service for Leon Coker, Sr., 65, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. this (THURSDAY) evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Mr. Coker died Sunday, December 26, 2010. Born in Trustville, AL, he was a son of the late Percy Dalton Coker and Addie Bea Coker. He was a faithful employee of Budweiser of Columbia for 43 years. To know him made you be a better person, a man with a word for everyone. You will be missed by many. Rest in peace my father and friend. Surviving are his daughter, Betsy Lynn Coker; son, Leon Coker, Jr.; sisters, Sue, Joe and Bob; brother, Percy Dalton, Jr; two grandchildren, Kayla Lynn McSweyn and Cassandra Mae McSweyn; also his longtime family friend, Terry R.
