Obituary of Sadie Burke

CAYCE - Funeral service for Sadie C. Burke, 88, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Cayce First Baptist Church, officiated by the Rev. Kevin Phillips, the Rev. Joe Borgkvist and the Rev. Larry Shull. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. this evening at Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Memorials may be made to Cayce First Baptist Church, 600 Holland Avenue, Cayce, SC 29033. Mrs. Burke, wife of Albert """Speedy""" Burke, died Monday, September 13, 2010. Born in Cayce, SC, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Carrie Carr. She was a member of Cayce First Baptist Church; and was a member of Homemakers Sunday School Class. Survivors are her husband, Albert """Speedy""" Burke; daughter, Peggy Penn (Tommy), all of Cayce; two grandchildren, Tony Penn (Brittany) and Keli Branham (Ray).
