Obituary of Mary Ridgeway

WEST COLUMBIA - Services for Mary Agnes Ridgeway, 89, of West Columbia, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2010, at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia. Officiating will be Dr. David B. Smith. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Mrs. Ridgeway, wife of 47 years to the late Otto William Ridgeway, died Thursday, December 23, 2010. Born in Manning, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Daisy Ann Hamilton Richburg. She was a lifetime area resident and had retired from the South Carolina State Department of Mental Health. She loved her family, and enjoyed cooking and doing crossword puzzles.Surviving are her daughters, Martha Smart (J.R. Lively), Wanda R. Dorn (Bob) all of West Columbia, and Donna K. Ridgeway of Murray, Utah; sons, John L. Ridgeway of West Columbia and Robert Ridgeway of Gaston; sister, Sadie Dean; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her grandson, Michael R.
