Obituary of Genevieve Davis

The family of the late Genevieve Daniels Davis, 91, of Columbia will receive friends at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private in Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jamil Shriners Transportation Fund, P.O. Box 90654, Columbia, SC 29290 in Genevieve?s memory. Mrs. Davis departed this earthly life surrounded by her family on Friday, June 24, 2011. She was born in Richland County, Columbia, South Carolina to John Henry Daniels and Janie Sprouse Daniels. Genevieve was married to Rufus P. Davis and to this union two sons were born, Proctor and Michael Davis. After the passing of her husband Rufus in 1978, Genevieve later married Leverne Price. Genevieve was predeceased by her parents, a grandson, Michael Davis, Jr. and her second husband Leverne. Surviving are her loving sons, Proctor Davis and his wife Martha Davis and Judge Michael R. Davis and his wife Sherri Davis; three grandchildren, Dina Talbot, Merri Gissendanner and Jon Davis; and one brother, John Clifton Daniels and his wife Shirley Daniels; other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
