Obituary of Frances Thompson

A funeral service celebrating the life of Frances Hendrix Thompson, 87, widow of the late Val L. Hendrix of Columbia will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2010 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Breast Cancer Awareness, P. O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309 in Frances memory. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Frances departed this earthly life on Monday, October 25, 2010. She was born in Woodruff, SC to the late William Bartlett Abercrombie and Lida Willis Abercrombie. Frances was a WWII veteran of the United States Army. She retired from the Oil Service Company. Surviving are her loving daughters, Neida Helm and husband, Michael Helm & Terri Hendrix and husband, Ric Pantonial; her ?adopted? daughter, Teri Blanton and husband, Cliff Blanton; a step-granddaughter, Christina Gallagher and husband Bob Gallagher; her extended family from ?The Other Store?; a host of nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends that will miss her dearly.
