Obituary of Steve Williams

A memorial service celebrating the life of Steve Carter Williams, 64, of Columbia will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with private inurnment to follow at a later date in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one?s choice in Steve?s memory. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements Mr. Williams departed this earthly life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. He was born in New York, New York to the late Vickie King Stroud. Steve was a veteran of the United States Army. He was also an avid fisherman, pool player and he enjoyed golf. Steve was predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Daisy King of Columbia, SC. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife Donna Norris Williams; daughters, Shawna L. Williams, Robin ?Nay? Williams, and Priscilla (Jeffery) Guyton; sons, Stevie (Nancy) Williams, Kevin (Ainsley) Price, and Jared Williams; a sister, Donna (Danny) Blowers; 8 grandchildren, Joseph, Heather, Hanna, Wayne, Jade, Dallas, Jace, and Isabella; and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
