Jimmie Howard York Columbia, SC A graveside service for Jimmie Howard York , 61, of Columbia will be held at 12pm on Friday, August 6, 2010 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery with full military honors to follow. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mr. York passed away on Monday, August 2, 2010. He was born in Columbia, SC to the late John S. York and Edna Bruce York. Mr. York was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. Surviving are his wife, Shirley York; sons, Jimmie Howard (Summer) York, Jr. and Cary (Angel) Chavis; daughters, Cathy (Ethan) Miller, Amanda Chavis, and Stacy Chavis; brothers, Bruce, Dan, and Jay Allen York; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
