Obituary of David Blizzard

David E. Blizzard, Sr., 51, passed away Monday, March 7, 2011. He was born September 24, 1959 in Richland County. He is survived by his children, Meagan, Nicole, and David Jr., all of the home. His Mother, Margaret Grimsley of Eastover; brothers, Eddie Blizzard of Eastover, and Jimmy and Timmy Grimsley, both of Leesville; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Gilbert E. Blizzard, Sr. David enjoyed many things in life, especially fishing. He was never at a loss for words and will always be remembered for his gift of ?gab?. Although he has left us in person, a piece of him will always live on through us, his children. We?ll miss our father and friend. Funeral services for Mr. Blizzard will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209.
