Obituary of BETTY THOMPSON

Mrs. Betty Schrodel Thompson, 73, of Columbia, went home to the Lord on October 7th, 2010. She was born in Nurnberg, Germany, December 14, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Karl and Maria Schrodel. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, 1st Sgt. Retired Isaac T. Thompson; three sons, Frankie and wife Robin, Steven and wife Robbin, Larry and wife Annette Thompson; one daughter, Carmen and husband Lonnie W. Wages III, all of Lexington County; and four grandsons, Jamin, Karl, Gabriel and Jon; also three granddaughters, Hope, Ashley and Stephanie, all of Lexington County; also she had six great-grandchildren, Chase, Aaron, Damian, Bradley, Haley and Robbie. She is also survived by one sister, Marie Schwarzbaum, and two brothers, Gilbert and Lothar Schrodel, all of Nurnberg, Germany. She was predeceased by two sisters, Helma Meier and Ericka Larwence, and a brother, Leon Schrodel of Germany. Mrs. Thompson has lived in the U.S.A. for fifty years and retired from Anchor Continental Tape Factory. We want to send a special ?Thank you? out to the staff from Hospice Care of Tri-County for all their assistance and devotion. Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 10, 2010 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Rd. Columbia, SC 29209. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the hour of the service Sunday at Greenlawn Funeral Home.
