Obituary of Mildred Boland

A funeral service celebrating the life of Mildred M. ?Maxine? Boland, 84, of Columbia will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 30, 2010 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday morning at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Columbia, 1306 Hampton Street, Columbia, SC 29201 in Maxine?s memory. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements. Mrs. Boland departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. She was born in Savannah, Georgia to Alexander McIntosh and Ava Newsome McIntosh whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Boland was a member of First Baptist Church of Columbia. Surviving are her loving husband of 60 years, D.E. ?Ed? Boland; daughters, Lisa B. Boylen & husband Max, and Susan E. Boland; a sister, Mary Jo Palmer; and other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
