Obituary of DOVER DAY

Dover Day, born in Ocala, FL on January 17, 1951, passed away in Greenville Memorial Hospital on November 14, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelba Jean Day. He has 4 sons, Anthony (Lesley) Day of Seneca, SC, George (Christina) Day of Seneca, Jack (Aleatha) Day of Pelion, SC and Jody (Amanda) Day of Newberry, SC. He has a total of 12 grandchildren. He served in the Navy as a Fighting Seabee during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1972. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at his son?s home at 102 Lanewood Ct. Newberry, SC. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8pm at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC 29209. Funeral service for Mr. Day will be held at 2:30 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Greenlawn Mausoleum Chapel with military honors and burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
