Obituary of Edith Gladden

Funeral service for Edith Neal Gladden, 83, of West Columbia will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Interment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. prior to service at the funeral home. Mrs. Gladden, widow of J. O. Gladden, died Thursday, February 3, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Irby Neal and Emmy Hatchell Neal. She was a member of Pinebelt Baptist Church; and she enjoyed playing the piano. Surviving is her daughter, Pam Adams of Columbia; sons, David Finley of Ridgeway and Neal Finley of Lexington; two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
