Obituary of Jean Tedrow

WEST COLUMBIA—A memorial service for Jean F. Tedrow, 75, of West Columbia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Chaplain Clay Summers. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Tedrow, beloved wife of Dennis Harold Tedrow almost 40 years, passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Born in Elyria, OH, she was the daughter of the late Gustave Michael Zeck and Evelyn Fern Stickle Zeck. She has been an area resident since 1992 formerly of Salem, OH. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her friends and family. Surviving in addition to her husband, Dennis H. Tedrow of West Columbia, SC; mother-in-law, Rhea Tedrow of Salineville, OH; daughters, Kathy Lallie of Alliance, OH and Shani Davies (Rich) of Lexington, SC; sons, Kristopher Swenson (Gayle) of Gaithersburg, MD and Stephen Swenson, Jr. of Swansea, SC; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Martha Williams (Dennis), Marcie Witherow, Penny Ambrose (Brian), Terri Witherow (Jay) and Tracy Wegendt (Eric); brother-in-law, Stewart Tedrow (Tina); special nephews, Dustin Tedrow (Jennifer) and Burwell Baddeley III along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debra K. Lallie, father-in-law, Harold Tedrow and son-in-law, John Lallie. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Agape Hospice Care for their love and devotion to Mrs. Tedrow, especially Daphne, Angie and Dr. Claire Birdsong.
