Obituary of Mary Hornsby Sox Caughman

Mary Hornsby Caughman WEST COLUMBIA:Funeral service for Mary LaNell Hornsby Sox-Caughman, 75, will be held at 12 Noon Friday, February 25, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia, officiated by Rev. Stuart Thompson. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. Ms. Caughman died Tuesday, February 22, 2011. Born in Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Duncan and Ruby Hornsby. She was a graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School. Surviving are her daughters, Tammy White (Rick) of Columbia and Vicki Maxheimer of Cayce; sons, Scottie Sox and Wally Sox (Denise) of West Columbia; sisters, Frances Regan of Kure Beach, NC and Betty Hayes of Lexington; a brother, William Hornsby of Swansea; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
