Obituary of LUN CHEUNG

Lun "George" Cheung was born on May 8, 1934 in Sarkong, China. He retired from the Royal Hong Kong Police after 25 years of service. A successful immigrant to the United States, George was a respected and shrewd entrepreneur. George died on Feb. 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer?s. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife, Cheung Wong Siu Nuen, of 50 years, and eldest daughter Betty Cheung, spouse, Thomas Summers Shuler, granddaughter Megan Elizabeth Shuler in Columbia, SC; middle daughter Teresa Cheung, spouse John Bryan Rowell, and grandsons John Patrick Rowell and George Daniel Rowell in Greenville, SC; and youngest daughter Lucia Cheung, spouse, James Yuk Chuen Cheung and granddaughter Rachel On Tung Cheung in Jakarta, Indonesia. George was known for his devotion to his work; loving father, husband, and his love and caring nature for his friends. Funeral services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home, Saturday Feb. 26, 2:00 pm, followed by the burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park - Serenity Gardens.
