Obituary of Maggie Smith Dreher

Maggie Lee Smith Dreher COLUMBIA:Funeral service for Maggie Lee Smith Dreher, 95, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, at First Baptist Church of West Columbia, officiated by Dr. Lonnie H. Shull and Rev. Stuart Thompson. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of West Columbia, P.O. Box 4898, West Columbia, SC 29171. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. Mrs. Dreher, widow of Lee Smith and Heyward Dreher, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Born in West Columbia, SC, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Stillinger and Cora David Meetze Stillinger. She was a member of First Baptist Church of West Columbia did volunteer work at Lexington Medical Center and Manor Care. Mrs. Dreher had many friends who loved and admired her; she had deep love and devotion for her family and most especially her seven great grandchildren who were the children of Alison and Shannon. She lived and died loving the Lord and had a strong faith. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Ben Levinson and Dr. Ben Tribble. Surviving are her daughters, Dolly S. Miller and Carolyn S. Wingate; three grandchildren, Alison M. Turner, Shannon M. Hagood and Robert Wingate; also seven great grandchildren.
