Obituary of Henry Bolton

Henry J. "Hank" Bolton LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Henry J. "Hank" Bolton, 60, of Lexington, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at The Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Thomas Huggins, Jr. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens with military honors. Pallbearers will be John Gene Morris, Jason Smith, Douglas Barton, James England, Kenny Shealy and Bobby Meetze. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Bolton, loving husband of Kay Meetze Bolton, died Sunday, March 20, 2011 after a courageous battle with longtime illness. Born in Calhoun County, he was the son of Josephine J. Bolton Bryson and the late Melvin Henry Bolton. He was a lifetime area resident and Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Bolton worked at Kyzer Chemical in Orangeburg, as a manager of Exxon Bait and Tackle in South Congaree for 7 years and retired from his own business Bolton Deposit Service in December 2004. Hobbies included camping, fishing and socializing with his friends, he never met a stranger. He will be truly missed by his loving wife, daughter and all his family including his pets, Maisey, RuRu and Prissy. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Kay Meetze Bolton of Lexington; mother, Josephine J. Bolton Bryson of St. Matthews; daughter, Melinda Ashley Bolton of Lexington; sisters, Julia Bolton Jackson of Lexington, Janice Bolton Ward of Memphis, Tenn.; brother, Melvin Raysor Bolton of Ft.
