Obituary of Christopher Lock

A memorial service celebrating the life of Christopher Michael Lock, 57, of Columbia will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with private inurnment to follow at a later date. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Mr. Lock departed this earthly life on Sunday, March 27, 2011. He was born in Manchester, England to Michael Vernon Lock and Margaret Wells Lock. Mr. Lock was an avid baseball fan; even though he was a Clemson University graduate and a faithful supporter of baseball, he enjoyed USC Gamecock Baseball also. Mr. Lock never met a stranger. He was truly loved and liked by all. Mr. Lock was predeceased by his mother, Margaret Wells Lock. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Carol Jean Smith Lock; his loving daughters, Jennifer Lock and Stephanie (Jeremy) Lock-Sallings; his father and step-mother, Michael Vernon Lock and Beverly Waters Lock; three sisters, Jill Hutcheson, Caroline (Jack) Martin, and Cathy (Jim) Arrington; three brothers, Phil (Ellie) Lock, John (Sandy) Lock, and David Lock; a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss him dearly.
