Obituary of Jennie Hargreaves

Jennie E. Hargreaves WEST COLUMBIA:Memorial service for Jennie E. Hargreaves, 92, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Blaine Hill and Rev. Dr. Jim Glatz. Inurnment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Spartanburg, SC. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church, Caring Connections Ministry, 5503 Sunset Blvd., Lexington, SC 29072, or Cherokee Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 3622 Augusta Highway, Gilbert, SC 29054. Mrs. Hargreaves, widow of John Everett Hargreaves, died Sunday, April 24, 2011. Born in Providence, RI, she was a daughter of the late Frank Ernest Davis and Clara Catlow Davis Hedgkinson. She was a member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hargreaves was retired from the Spartanburg Regional Hospital and was a member of the Spartanburg Welcome Wagon. Surviving is her son, John E. Hargreaves, Jr. (Charlotte) of Lexington; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
