Obituary of Bertha Gorick

A graveside service celebrating the life of Bertha F. Gorick, 86, of Columbia will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2011at Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00p.m. on Sunday afternoon at Greenlawn Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Palmetto Chapter, 3608 Landmark Dr., Suite C, Columbia, SC 29204 in Bertha?s memory. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements Mrs. Gorick departed this earthly life on Thursday, April 28, 2011. She was born on October 2, 1924 in Cullman, Alabama to Sam Freeman and Florence G. Boyd Freeman. Mrs. Gorick was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Mrs. Gorick was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Walter Joseph Gorick. Surviving are her daughters, Vicki Gorick and Tina Darlene (Walter Yochum) McClain; two sons, Ronald Joseph (Sherri) Gorick and Sam Gorick; a sister, Myrtice Woodward; 8 grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
