Obituary of Helen Carlton

A funeral service celebrating the life Helen T. Carlton, 61, of Gaston, SC will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 13, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home. The family has entrusted Greenlawn Funeral Home with the arrangements Mrs. Carlton departed this earthly life on Monday, May 9, 2011. She was born on November 23, 1949 in Atlanta, GA to Ernest Tucker and Rosa Lee Bell Tucker. Helen was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Fielder Lavaughn Carlton. Surviving are her loving daughter, Kimberly (Clay) Baker; her loving sons, John (Debbie) Carlton, Sr. and Chris (Amy) Carlton; three sisters, Patsy (Charlie) Templeton, Mary (RJ) Moore, and Martha Hankinson; four brothers, William (Tina) Tucker, Evans (Phyllis) Tucker, Roy (Joy) Tucker, and Steve (Cindy) Tucker; seven grandchildren, Jonathan, John, Jr., Austin, Abbie, Riley, Skylar, and Ayden; a host other loving relatives and friends that will miss her dearly. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Steve Madden and the 8th floor Oncology at Lexington Medical Center for their care and support of our loved one during her illness.
