Obituary of Lois Boulware

Lois Jordan Boulware LEXINGTON—Funeral services for Lois Jordan Boulware, 83, of Lexington, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Lexington Baptist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Mike Turner. Burial will follow in Lugoff First Baptist Church Cemetery, 106 Longtown Road, Lugoff. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Mrs. Boulware, widow of Raymond W. Boulware, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Lugoff, SC, she was the daughter of the late Fletcher McCoy Jordan and Sallie Mae Gaskin. She was a lifelong area resident of Columbia and Lexington and was a member of Lexington Baptist Church. She retired from Ft. Jackson Civil Service after many years of devoted service. Surviving are her daughters, Claire Boulware Copeland and Vickie Boulware Lefler (Michael) all of Lexington; sons, Raymond W. Boulware, Jr. (Pamela) of West Columbia and Richard Brian Boulware (Nancy) of Rock Hill; six grandchildren, Brian Copeland, M.D., Kelly Wright (Phillip), Megan Boulware, Matthew Boulware, Dylan Boulware, Mary Jordan Boulware; one great-grandchild, Ava Victoria Wright; sister, Ethel Vereen of Lexington. She was preceded in death by brothers, Earl Jordan, Paul Jordan, Ralph Jordan and sisters, Flonnie Kendall, Connie Jacobs, Ida Ruth Bodie, Eunice Purkey and Bernice Jordan.
