Obituary of Joseph Brogdon

Joseph C. Brogdon, 51, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011. He was an industrial painter and enjoyed his career in painting cars and car parts. Joseph was also an avid NASCAR fan. Mr. Brogdon is survived by his father, Carison Brogdon, mother, Margie Shaw and step-father, Anthony Shaw as well as his four children, Robert Brogdon (Elizabeth), Michael Brogdon, and their mother, Helen Westbrook; and Ashley Gershman, and Rebecca Brogdon and their mother, Angela Sanders. Mr. Brogdon is also survived by his two brothers, Henry Brogdon (Cindy) and Steven Brogdon (Betty) and two sisters, Lisa Ulness and Carol Brogdon. Joseph Brogdon is also survived by seven grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wed, June 8. Funeral Services will be on Thurs., June 9 at 1 p.m. at the Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, S.C. (803) 776-1094. Pastor Paul Pippin of Community Crossings Presbyterian Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
