Obituary of Joseph Edmonds

Joseph B. "JB" Edmonds LEXINGTON: Funeral service for Joseph Benjamin "JB" Edmonds, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2011, at Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Faye Stephens and Rev. Jeff Kersey. Interment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday evening at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Abbey Road Hospice, 5429 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Mr. Edmonds died Monday, June 20, 2011. Born in Lincolnton, GA, he was a son of the late Joseph Ben Edmonds and Kate Goldman Edmonds. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict, having retired after 22 years of service. He was a past master of Masonic Lodge #377; and was an elder in Peterson Memorial Presbyterian Church. Surviving is his wife, Mildred M. Edmonds; daughters, Brenda Hess (John), and Tracy Rector (Robbie) all of Lexington; daughter-in-law, Harriette Edmonds of Columbia; sister, Nannie Lou Phillips of Greenwood; four granddaughters and two grandsons.
