Obituary of Donnie Christley

WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Donnie Earl Christley, 76, of West Columbia, will be held at 2:00 p.m., July 30, 2011 at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. Officiating will be Rev. Harry Collins, III. Burial will be Sunday, July 31, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church Campground. Pallbearers will be Eddie Williams, Don Samol, Jimmy Barber, Jerry Collins, Bodie Lamons and Vernon Rollins. The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is assisting the family. Mr. Christley, beloved husband of Fay Williams Christley, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Born in Franklin Township, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Ida Christley. He was a member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church and an employee with Wachovia Bank for 34 years as a Data Processor. Surviving in addition to his wife, Fay Williams Christley of West Columbia; are daughter, Karen Christley Bonner (Danny) of Atlanta GA; sons, Stephen Lee Christley (Karen) of Wilmington, NC and Christopher Chad Christley (Julie) of West Columbia, SC; daughter-in-law, Terri Christley; nine grandchildren, Amy, Alex, Stephen, Nikki, Dylan, Eric, Connor, Wyatt and Daniel; sister, Judy Stevenson (George); brothers, Ralph Christley, Gary Christley (Sandy), Robert Christley (Carol) and Jon Christley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy, and two sons, Randy Christley and Donnie Christley, Jr. Memorials may be made in Mr. Christley's honor to Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, 823 Jackson Street, West Columbia, SC 29169.
