Obituary of Ollie Windham

Ollie "O.W." Windham WEST COLUMBIA—Funeral services for Ollie "O.W." Windham, 80, of West Columbia, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Officiating will be Rev. Ed Lynch. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home. Memorial in Mr. Windham's honor may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mr. Windham, beloved husband of Donnelle Crumpton Windham, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2011. Born in Lamar, he was the son of the late George W. Windham and Annie Amerson Windham. He was a lifelong area resident and a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Donnelle Windham of West Columbia; daughters, Donna Windham Wright of Columbia and Debra Windham Hudson (Gus Mallios) of Ballentine; son, Ollie Timothy "Tim" Windham of Lexington; grandchildren, Wendy Wright, Amber Noble (Scott), Clint Hudson, Clay Hudson, Timothy Walters and Josh Windham; great-grandchildren, Michael Arrants, Daqwren Warr, Brooke Windham, Conner Noble and Emily Windham; sisters, Margie Kelley (Gene) of Charleston, Joyce Mitchell (Ed) of Saluda, Miriam Wilson of Lexington and Bertha Lean Windham of Winnsboro; brother, Grady Windham (Donna) of Lexington.
