Obituary of Marilyn Leggett

Marilyn Wood Leggett LEXINGTON: Services for Marilyn Wood Leggett, 63, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011, in the Chapel of Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington , officiated by Rev. Richard Powell. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309. Mrs. Leggett died, Friday, September 2, 2011. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, she was a daughter of Alfred Eugene Wood and the late Annie Frances Dudley Wood. She was employed with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine as an Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Leggett graduated from Bob Jones University Institute of Christian Service; she was also a member of the Awana, NCOA Ladies Auxiliary and DAV Ladies Auxiliary; she was of the Baptist faith and loved her Lord. Mrs. Leggett also enjoyed ancestry research, gardening and reading. Surviving are her father, Alfred Eugene Wood of Mauldin, SC; and her loving husband, Brewer W. Leggett of Lexington; daughter, Colleen Leggett of Lexington; sons, Bryon Leggett of Greenville and Michael Leggett of Athens, GA; sister, Michelle Larsen of Summerville; brothers, Larry Wood of Mauldin and Wendell Wood of Battle Creek, MI.
