Obituary of Tony Fish

Funeral services for Tony Warren Fish, of Columbia, will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2011 at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 845 Leesburg Road Columbia, SC 29209. Pastor Terry Cagle will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Fish passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. He was born December 4, 1945 in Raleigh, NC to the late J.C. and Julia Fish. Mr. Fish was raised in Columbia, and graduated from Columbia High School and Palmer College. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He was employed by United Refrigeration and Carolina Rim and Wheel. Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years, Terry Fish; a daughter, Toni Whittington (husband Brian) of Columbia; a sister, Linda Davison (husband Leroy) of Chester, SC; and three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Warren and Molly. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richie Liles. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff of Columbia Oncology, and to the 8th Floor staff of Palmetto Baptist Hospital for the loving care they provided to Mr. Fish.
